Personal tips for your visit

As Dubai roads are very busy, leave your home earlier. The gates open at 4 pm, so it is good to be there at this time. We left around 4:30 and as we got stuck in a traffic jam, we came a bit late. Also, parking a car takes some time as many cars come here.

Global Village is a huge place with a lot of walking and a lot to see, so you need a lot of time here.

A Rickshaw to take people to Global Village Dubai

If you come by car and park in free parking, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the gates. They said is about 1 km and they offer Rickshows for 10 AED per person, which to us was a surprise and a little bit of a steal which we didn’t know about.

So if you are OK with walking, it is not far, but if you have older people with you, you may want to use them. We used it on the way there but walked back.

Global Village is very popular and therefore very crowded. Be prepared that in some food areas, you will have to fight your way through a crowd of people.

It is good to plan what you want to see as there are many pavilions and shows and it is impossible to see everything in one day.
