Are you looking for a review of Pickalbatros White Beach Resort in Hurghada Egypt? As we stayed here for a family vacation with a one-year-old girl, I will provide you with an honest review of this resort.
Pickalbatros White Beach Resort is a 5-star all-inclusive resort in Hurghada, Egypt, and belongs to the Pickalbatros chain of hotels.
We chose this resort for our family vacation for several reasons, it is an all-inclusive hotel right at the beach, it has several pools with a kids aquapark, it is close to the airport, and most importantly, it is a 5-star hotel which I always choose when traveling to Egypt.
After spending our holiday at Pickalbatros White Beach Resort, I will tell you all about this hotel, what we liked and also what we didn’t.
Pickalbatros White Beach Resort Review: Overview
When deciding where to stay in Hurghada for your holiday, you have so many options that it is not easy to pick one resort.
There are plenty of all-inclusive hotels set right at the beach or within walking distance to the beach starting from 2* to 5*.
Albatros White Beach Resort is a place where you can spend your entire holiday without going anywhere else if you wish.
It sits right on a white sandy beach with a gradual entrance to the sea and has several pools for adults and children.
Several restaurants offer all-inclusive dining of different cuisines, with exceptional customer service. However, the animation team is a bit poor.
The price for this resort is great, compared to some other 5-star hotels. One night in a Deluxe double room range from $150-$300.
This hotel gets 9.5 points out of 10 from me. The half-point off is due to the animation team.
Location
When going for a beach vacation, the first thing I look at when choosing a hotel is, that it must be located at the beach, which Albatros White Beach is.
This hotel is also just 3 km away from Hurghada International Airport, so you won’t waste a lot of time in the transportation.
What may be a minus for some people, is that there is nothing around the hotel if you want to go out. There are only small shops with souvenirs on the street outside of the hotel. If you want to go anywhere you have to take a taxi.
Rooms
Albatros White Beach Resort offers many different types of rooms that will suit even the most demanding guests.
We stayed in a deluxe double room with a child’s crib that can be provided upon request. It is a simple but beautiful and clean room with a bathroom, TV, tea, and coffee amenities, a minibar, and a balcony with chairs, a table, and a hanger to hang up your clothes.
I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and relaxing in the evening watching the sunset. Our room had a pool view, but we could also see a little bit of the beach.
Most of the rooms have a pool view, but few rooms have a sea view. The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. All rooms are air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi.

Restaurants and bars
There are four restaurants and bars in the resort. It took us some time to figure it out as the resort is quite big even though not as big as the Albatros Dana Beach Resort that we visited the year after.
The main restaurant Saffron serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were eating mostly here as the variety of food was really enormous.
Breakfast had so many choices. Starting from different types of cereals, yogurt, milk, fruits, vegetables, a lot of kinds of bread, ham, cheese, sweet pastries, and other cakes, pancakes, and English breakfast or they can make you scrambled eggs or omelet upon your request.
There was tea, coffee, and different kinds of juices, plus they gave us a bottle of water on the table every morning.
During the lunches and dinners, they served Arabic and other types of sweets. The choices here are endless. Every time we wanted to try something new, the only way was to share the cakes and sweets as we couldn’t eat so much. All of them were so delicious.
You can choose to eat inside or outside. Kids-friendly buffet is also available.
The second restaurant L’Asiatique is an Asian restaurant that also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner where lunches and dinners are specialized in Asian cuisine.
The third restaurant, Soprano specializes in Italian cuisine, serving dinners.
The Wow Restaurant is an a la Carte restaurant but we haven’t used it.
Close to the beach is a food court open for lunch, drinks, and afternoon snacks. In case you don’t want to go from the beach to the main restaurants, you could have shawarma sandwiches, pasta, or pizza here.
We ate our lunch here a few times as it was very convenient and the food was great. But wouldn’t want to eat the same every day. Also, ice cream is available here the whole day.
There are few indoor and outdoor bars. One can be found in the lobby, the second one is Millenium Bar where you can enjoy evening cocktails. Next to the pools are White Bar and Olympus Bar, where you can relax and enjoy afternoon coffee or other drinks, and next to the beach is a beach bar.

Beach and pools
There is a beautiful sandy beach with free sunbeds, umbrellas, and rented towels. The entrance to the sea is very shallow and gradual. You can walk maybe ten meters to be able to swim, so it is perfect for small children.
If you want to swim, you can walk till you reach deeper water or walk on the pier from which you can take the stairs directly to the deep water.
There was a lifeguard on the pier for your safety. Unfortunately there is no opportunity for snorkelers here.
There are 6 outdoor pools, 2 for adults and 4 for children with many slides and aqua fun amenities. If you have children, this is a real paradise for them. Some of the pools are heated during the winter.
Entertainment and customer service
For entertainment, there were some sports activities, like tennis, and beach volleyball and during the day animators were offering aqua aerobics, yoga, and some other classes, which we didn’t attend.
The evening entertainment was very poor compared to other big resorts. There was a mini disco for children, but not much for adults. The animation team was mostly Russian speaking.
On the other hand, customer service in Pickalbatros White Beach is exceptional. From cleaners to waiters, bartenders, and reception staff, all provided high-standard customer service and always had smiles on their faces.
Especially our cleaner was so detailed, that I have never had so clean room in any hotel. I will provide you with one example.
We arrived at night and in the morning I left a plastic bag with my cosmetics in the bathroom because my lotion leaked out. When we returned from the beach, all my cosmetics were cleaned and organized nicely on the shelves.

Pickalbatros White Beach Resort is the perfect choice for those looking for a higher standard of beach vacation in Egypt. This resort is for those who need to relax, unwind, and enjoy a variety of great food, and drinks without any hassle.
While this resort is suitable for all age groups, couples, or singles, it is ideal for those with children due to the many pools with an aqua park and beach with shallow water.
This resort is not good for people who want to snorkel or expect evening entertainment.
