What to do in Dubai with children?
If you already visited Dubai or you heard something about it, you will know that it is family-friendly and one of the safest countries in the world. There are many activities and sightseeing available for adults, however, the country pays high attention to children and families as well. Therefore there is so much to do in Dubai for children of all ages. Whether you are coming for holiday or planning to move there, you can be sure your children will not get bored. So would you like to know what to do in Dubai with children? Let’s dive in.

1. Beaches
Dubai is well known for its beautiful beaches. Some of them are private, others public. There are beaches just for relaxing and swimming with no additional facilities, however many of them have restaurants, shops or possibilities to practice some watersports. Younger children can play in the sand, swim in the sea, the older ones can try other activities. To relax on the beach you can try JBR Beach or Umm Suqeim Beach. For more fun and activities there is Kite Beach or La Mer Beach.
2. Waterparks
Did your kids get bored at the beach and would like more fun in the water? No problem. There are several waterparks in Dubai for the whole family. The most famous is Wild Wadi Waterpark, which is just next to Burj Al Arab hotel. This waterpark is so much fun for all ages, even for adults. It is a fun place to spend your family day together.
Another waterpark is in Atlantis Hotel called Aquaventure Waterpark. Even here you can spend a lovely day as a family. Moreover, they have a dolphin bay here for those who would like to swim with dolphins.
Then there is Laguna Waterpark located on the La Mer Beach and Aqua Fun Waterpark opposite Jumeirah Beach Residence.
3. Dubai Parks and Resorts
Dubai Parks and Resorts consists of three theme parks Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland Dubai, and one water park Legoland Waterpark with more than 100 attractions.
At Motiongate Dubai you can experience rides and attractions based on some successful movies. You can meet many of your favorite characters, like Shrek, The Smurfs, Kung Fu Panda, Ghostbusters, and many more. For those who like adrenalin, there are many high-speed and spinning rollercoasters for you to try. Not only fun and adrenalin, but also you can learn and see how some of the movies were made or even come on the stage by taking a Backlot Tour.
Bollywood Parks Dubai is the first Bollywood theme park in the world. It will take you to the Indian film industry through rides, shows, and attractions. There are many Indian restaurants for you to rest and enjoy the food.
Legoland Dubai is an adventure for kids aged two to twelve. There are rides and rollercoasters, interactive games, you can build cars and then race against friends, or you can see how lego is made in the factory. Moreover, you can stay at Legoland hotel.
4. Dubai Safari Park
Dubai Safari Park is home to about 3000 animals. You can visit African Village where you will see many African animals like lions, cheetahs, elephants, hyenas and many more.
The second one is the Arabian desert safari, which is a drive-through experience, which makes you feel you are in a desert of the Arabian Peninsula.
The third one is Asian village where you will see animals from the Asian continent like Moon Bear or Gibbon.
The fourth one is Explorer village, which is the main attraction where you can go for a journey by bus through African and Asian Village to see the animals. There is also Birds show, Giraffe feeding, birds feeding, rhino or goat feeding available.
5. Dubai Desert safari
Once in Dubai, visiting the desert is a must. It will create an unforgettable experience not only for your children but also for you. It is an amazing feeling to be away from the city rush and enjoy the traditional Arabic dinner in the desert. There are other activities like camel riding, sandboarding, or quad biking available for adults and children.

6. Kidzania
Kidzania based inside Dubai Mall is a 7000 m2 replica of a real city for children to learn and have fun. There are many different activities for children between 2-16 years old where they learn about different jobs, money, and the real world. Children can take on jobs like doctors, firefighters, Emirates pilots, Dubai police, can get involved in cooking activities learn how to make their own radio show, and a lot more.
7. City Walk
City Walk is one of the most kids-friendly shopping areas where you can shop, entertain and eat on your family day out. One of the top things here is The Green Planet, which is Dubai’s own tropical rainforest with 3000 species of plants, animals, and birds. The Green Planet educate their guests on how important rainforest is for our earth. It is divided into four parts, the Canopy, the Midstory, the Forest Floor, and the Flooded Rainforest.
8. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater ZOO
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo can be found inside Dubai Mall. You will walk inside a tunnel located in the middle of the aquarium where you can see thousands of aquatic animals swimming around you, including 400 sharks and rays. Except for the tunnel, there is a penguin encounter, king croc encounter, otter, ray encounter, feeding presentations and you can also go on a glass-bottom boat ride. Kids 8 years and older can try snorkeling cage.
9. VR Park
VR Park in Dubai is the World’s largest VR Park and can be found in the Dubai Mall. There are many different activities suited for the whole family. For example, Dubai Drone will take you into 2050 where people move around in drone taxis.
How about Burj Drop? Do you dare wash windows on the tallest building in the world when the security ropes can break?
Experience dune bash, snakes, scorpions, and spiders in the Dubai desert. There are many more, plus an active zone where you can play games with your friends and family.
10. Aventura Parks
Aventura Parks is Dubai’s largest zipline park located at Mushrif Park in Mirdif. There are over 80 challenges with different difficulty levels and for all ages. The park entry is divided based on the high and age of the person, meaning which attraction can the person attend. You can also book individual challenges separately.
If you are not into adventure, but love nature, you can go for a Nature Trail which is a guided walk to learn about the fauna and flora of the UAE. During the walk you can encounter Aventura pets, children can dig for skeletal treasures and learn something new while having fun in nature.
11. Museum of the Future
Museum of the Future is the newest thing in Dubai. It is the most beautiful and fascinating building in the world. You can attend talks and events with innovators and scientists, you can take a trip to the future where you will engage all your senses, and explore near-future technologies. Especially for children, there is a fantasy world called Future Heroes. Children can attend different plays and games where they have to overcome challenges, collect badges to develop their communication, collaboration, and creativity.
