You can also try scuba diving or other water sports like windsurfing or banana boat ride. Most of the entertainment with food facilities will be provided by the resorts. However, you can go for a walk to see the old town of Sahl Hasheesh.

Where to stay near Sahl Hasheesh Beach

5. Fjord Bay
Fjord Bay is a different type of beach than the previous ones. Fjord Bay is not a busy tourist destination with all-inclusive hotels. Rather beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear water surrounded by the mountains. It can be found about 15 km south of Taba town.
Fjord Bay is a great place to unwind and relax in the warm water under the sun. Moreover, Fjord Bay is a paradise for divers. There is a 24-meter-deep Fjord Hole where you can admire hundreds of reef species. If you are a beginner you can stay on Fjord Banana on shallow reefs.

6. Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon is a beautiful beach in the middle of nowhere, about 15 km from Dahab. The only way to get there is by tour or boat. The water here is turquoise blue ideal for snorkeling. Except for snorkeling and swimming, you can do surfing or kitesurfing as it is usually a little windy here.
Except for beach huts where you can buy some drinks and snacks or you can rent them if you want to stay overnight, there is nothing else. Therefore it is a great place to unplug.
Close to Blue Lagoon is a Blue Hole, a famous diving side.

Safir Dahab Resort is a 5* resort in Dahab, sitting on the beachfront about 2 km from the city center. Each room in the resort has a balcony view. There is a beautiful pool and private beach.

7. Mahmya Island
Mahmya Island is a paradise of the Red Sea in Egypt. Turquoise clear water, white sandy beach, and colorful underwater life make it a must-visit for every beach lover.
Mahmya Island is actually not an island but one section in the Giftun Islands off Hurgada’s Red Sea coast. The only way to get there is by a tour. During the peak season, it may get a little busy, but as it is a National Park, the amount of tourists is controlled.

You can stay in any resort in Hurghada and there are plenty of choices. I do recommend Albatros White Beach as I personally stayed there. It is an all-inclusive resort with two pools for swimming, more small pools with slides and other activities for children, a beautiful beach with a gradual entrance to the sea, great food, and lovely staff.
Nuweiba is a small coastal city between Taba and Dahab, next to the Gulf of Aqaba. Beaches between Nuweiba and Taba are the ones you want to visit. Nuweiba town is nothing like Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh. The beaches are not busy, there are no big resorts or nightlife.
Instead, you will find a simple life with small camps here with food being served on small tables while you are sitting on cushions, there are few huts on the beach, and Beduin village. This is a place for those who want to run away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax in nature.
Where to stay near Nuweiba
As already mentioned, there are no big hotels, therefore you can choose from any of the camps located here. For example, New Bella Sina Camp is located on a private beach with a restaurant and a bar.
You will stay in the bungalow which is air-conditioned, some have a bathroom inside, while others don’t and you need to use shared bathrooms outside. Room service and breakfast are available.
9. Ras Um Sid Beach
Ras Um Sid Beach is located in Sharm El Sheikh not far away from Naama Bay Beach. It is a lovely golden sand beach with beautiful blue water. There is Ras Um Sid Reef famous for divers coming to admire the beauty of the underwater world. Close to the shore, you can go snorkeling and admire corals and different kinds of fish.
There are hotels around where you can stay, but also restaurants and cafes where you can have lunch and drink if you come just for one day.

Makadi Bay is a lovely sandy beach with clear waters located in the south of Hurghada. Makadi Bay is a great location for couples or families with children. As I already mentioned, Sharm El Luli Beach is in the middle of nowhere, so you will need to stay in Marsa Alam. Here you can choose from different kinds of resorts.
I haven’t been disappointed with a chain of Pickalbatros resorts. Here is Pickalbatros The Palace Port Ghalib with private beach, 3 restaurants, two outdoor pools, and a spa, and it is located close to the airport.
13. Soma Bay
Soma Bay is a lovely soft sandy beach located about 60 km from Hurghada. The waters here are warm the whole year round. Soma Bay is surrounded by mountains and there are all-inclusive hotels around where you can stay as well as some restaurants and cafes.
You can practice many watersports here, like kitesurfing, surfing, paddleboarding, or diving by boat further to the reef. For golf lovers, there is also a gulf course available.
