Can I Enter Burj Khalifa And Burj Al Arab?

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. It is one of the iconic buildings of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, with the Armani Hotel and Armani Club located inside.

Burj Al Arab is the most luxurious 5* but is named a 7* hotel in the world. With the shape of a sailboat on a private man-made island, Burj Al Arab became the most famous and exceptional architecture in the world.

All tourists visiting Dubai would love to come inside and see those amazing architectural treasures. How easy or how difficult it is to get in? You will find out. Let’s dive in.

How To Enter Burj Al Arab

Burj Al Arab is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It is standing on a man-made island connected by a bridge.

At the beginning of the bridge is a gate with security who will check your IDs and reservation. The security will not let you in if you don’t have a reservation. So what reservation you will need?

Booked hotel room

The first option is very expensive and not easy for everyone, which is to book a room in the hotel. As this hotel is named 7* hotel, where a lot of design is made of gold and marble, the prices are very high.

The cheapest room costs between $1.3k to $2.6k per night. The most expensive suite with butler service can cost you $10k. Not affordable for everyone.

But don’t despair. There are other cheaper options for how to get inside Burj Al Arab.

Reservation in one of the restaurants

The second option and more affordable is to book a table in one of their restaurants or a Skyview Bar. They have several options to choose from.

  • Sahn Eddar restaurant, atrium lounge located on the first floor. In this restaurant is possible to go with children. There are options for an A La Carte menu with a minimum spend of 200 AED, however, the better option is Afternoon Tea, which will cost you 590 AED with Champagne or 490 AED with a non-alcoholic drink.

Children from 4-11 years old pay 245 AED. The Afternoon tea has selections of different hot beverages, sandwiches, pastries, and scones. There are specific times you will need to book and be on time.
  • Al Iwan is an Arabic restaurant, where you can go for an Arabic Buffet lunch or dinner. Lunch costs about 400 AED and dinner about 900 AED.
  • Al Muntaha restaurant is located on the 27th floor with a beautiful view of the city serving French and Italian cuisine. The lunch menu costs 650 AED.
  • Al Mahara seafood restaurant is beautiful and very romantic next to the giant aquarium.
  • Bab Al Yam is a European restaurant
  • Sal is a beachside restaurant.
  • Skyview Bar is located on the 27th floor, 200 meters above sea level. You can book a table for evening cocktails here. This is the option we decided to go for. It was a present for my mum’s birthday and we all enjoyed it.

We paid 300 AED per person where some drinks and snacks were included. The snack came on a tray shaped like the Burj Al Arab itself. If you want to have more drinks, you then pay extra. People under 16 are not permitted inside.

This way we managed to see Burj Al Arab from the inside, admire the beautiful view of the city from the 27th floor, and enjoy the special drinks of the hotel.

Other options to enter Burj Al Arab

More options to enter Burj Al Arab are booking a Spa treatment or a Guided tour. Going for a guided tour of the hotel is a bit strange for me, but maybe you will like this option.

The last option and probably the most popular is to go to the top of Burj Khalifa from where you can see the whole of Dubai. You can choose from three options.

A view from the top of Burj Khalifa

1. Floors 124 and 125. You will get to floor 124 by the lift in one minute where you then step out on the outside observation terrace. You can walk around and see Dubai from each side. There is no limited time to stay, but the booking is at a certain time.

Then you go to floor 125 where more experience is waiting for you, like virtual reality or immersive experience where you step on a glass that will start cracking under your feet and you explore heights from 456 meters in the air.
