Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. It is one of the iconic buildings of Dubai with the Armani hotel and Armani club located inside. Burj Al Arab is the most luxurious 5* but named a 7* hotel in the world. With the shape of a sailboat on a private man-made island, Burj Al Arab became the most famous and exceptional architecture in the world.
All tourists visiting Dubai would love to come inside and see those amazing architectural treasures. However, can anyone enter inside Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab? Not really. The iconic buildings would become picnic places instead. Nevertheless, there are ways how to get inside both Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab. Would you like to know? Keep reading.
As the owner of this website, I’ve included some recommendations for your trips. When you use the links to make a purchase, I may get a small commission. You will not get charged extra. Full disclosure.
How to enter Burj Al Arab
As mentioned before, Burj Al Arab is one of the most luxurious and iconic hotels in the world. It is standing on a man-made island connected with a bridge. At the beginning of the bridge is a gate with security who will check your IDs and reservation. If you don’t have a reservation, the security will not let you in. So what reservation you can have?
Booked hotel room
The first option is very expensive and not easy for everyone, which is to book a room in the hotel. As this hotel is named 7* hotel, where a lot of design is made of gold and marble, the prices are very high. Their rooms start on 4,000 AED until 20,000 AED per night. Depends on the season and the type of room. Of course, not possible for any normal person, unless you are very rich. But don’t despair. There are other cheaper options how to get inside Burj Al Arab.
Reservation in one of the restaurants
The second option and more affordable is to book a table in one of their restaurants or a Skyview Bar. They have several options to choose from.
Sahn Eddar restaurant, atrium lounge located on the first floor. In this restaurant is possible to go with children. There are options for an A La Carte menu with a minimum spent 200 AED, however, the better option is Afternoon Tea, which will cost you 590 AED with Champagne or 490 AED with a non-alcoholic drink. Children from 4-11 years old pay 245 AED. The Afternoon tea has selections of different hot beverages, sandwiches, pastries, and scones. There are specific times you will need to book and be on time.
Lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants. This is a more expensive option than the afternoon tea, but you can choose from several restaurants, where there is an A La Carte menu or a brunch, where you pay a fixed amount for an already chosen menu.
There is Al Iwan Arabic restaurant, where you can go for Arabic Buffet lunch or dinner. Lunch costs about 400 AED and dinner about 900 AED.
Al Muntaha restaurant is located on the 27th floor with a beautiful view of Dubai serving French and Italian cuisine. The lunch menu costs 650 AED.
Other restaurants include Al Mahara seafood restaurant, which is beautiful and very romantic next to the giant aquarium. Bab Al Yam is a European restaurant and Sal is a beachside restaurant.
Skyview Bar is located on the 27th floor, 200 meters above sea level. You can book a table for evening cocktails here. This is the option we decided to go for. It was a present for my mum’s birthday and we all really enjoyed it. We paid 350 AED per person where some drinks and snacks were included. If you wanted to have more drinks, you then pay extra. People under 21 are not permitted inside. This way we managed to see Burj Al Arab from the inside, see the beautiful view from the 27th floor, and enjoyed the special drinks of the hotel.
Other options to enter Burj Al Arab
More options to enter Burj Al Arab are booking a Spa treatment or a Guided tour. Going for a guided tour of the hotel is a bit strange for me, but maybe you will like this option. Guided tours start from 249 AED and can be also chosen with the dining package. You can check directly on their website.
Reminders – Please be on time for your booking and not earlier than 15 minutes
– Have your booking reservation with you as you have to show it to the security at the bridge
– Remember it is a 7* hotel, therefore the dress code is smart casual, or even elegant. No flip-flops, sneakers, shorts, sporty t-shirts with pictures, beach wear, or jeans.
How to enter Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and is located next to the Mall of the Emirates. There are several ways how to get inside.
Booked hotel room
As well as in Burj Al Arab, you can also book a room in Burj Khalifa. The Armani Hotel is located there. Again, it is a luxurious, pure elegance hotel, therefore the prices are high and not everyone can afford it. One night here cost from 1400 AED up to 4000 AED, depending on the season.
Reservation in one of the restaurants
If you can’t stay in the Armani hotel, you can book a table in one of their restaurants.
Armani Lounge is overlooking the Dubai Fountain and is the perfect place to meet with friends or business partners. You can choose from an A la carte menu with selections of salads, soups, sandwiches, pizza, main dishes, desserts, and all sorts of beverages. You have also an option of Afternoon tea, which will cost you 199 AED per person or 359 AED for two people. Afternoon tea starts at 2 pm and finishes at 6 pm.
Armani Ristorante is the main restaurant with the essence of Italy. Possibility to eat inside or outside on the terrace.
Armani Hashi is a Japanese restaurant. Possibility to choose from the menu or from one of the prepared 6,8,9 courses menu or Premium Tasting Menu.
Armani Kaf is the first kosher certified restaurant in the UAE. You can choose from an A la carte menu or from their special 2 or 3 courses menu. 2 courses cost 149 AED and 3 courses will cost you 199 AED.
Armani Amal is an Indian restaurant with the possibility to eat inside or outside on the terrace overlooking downtown Dubai. Except for an A la carte menu, they have menus for fixed prices that you can choose from.
Last, but not least is the Armani Mediterraneo. This restaurant provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Mediterranean regions. Their special is Sunday Brunch for 399 AED including soft beverages and 499 AED including house beverages.
You can check these restaurants on their official website. Once again, don’t forget these are luxurious restaurants and your dress code must be smart-elegant.
Other options to enter Burj Khalifa
Besides booking a table in the restaurant, you can also book a Spa treatment or Rooftop pool. Pool pass during weekdays costs 150 AED and during weekends 200 AED. In case you would like to eat next to the pool, there is an option for Saturday Brunch with BBQ stations, available from 4 pm until 7 pm. This option cost 249 AED with soft beverages and 349 AED with house beverages. Children from 7 to 12 years old pay 140 AED, while children up to 6 years old dine complementarity.
I have another option for you, which is the Armani Prive nightclub. With this option, you are only inside the club, but the entrance is free unless you want to book a table. You must be over 21 to enter, dressed smart-elegant, and come in mix group or couple.
Burj Khalifa at the top
The last option and probably the most popular is to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa from where you can see the whole of Dubai. There are two options.
The first option is floors 124 and 125. You will get to floor 124 by the lift in one minute where you then step out on the outside observation terrace. You can walk around and see Dubai from each side. There is no limited time to stay, but the booking is at a certain time.
Then you go to floor 125 where more experience is waiting for you, like virtual reality or immersive experience where you step on a glass that will start cracking under your feet and you explore heights from 456 meters in the air.
The second option is a personalized guided tour where you will step to the highest outdoor observation deck in the world, 555 meters, enjoy refreshments at the sky lounge, and continue to floors 125 and 124.
The entrance to the top of the Burj Khalifa is from the inside of the Dubai Mall. You can purchase your tickets there at the place, but it is better to book online either on their website or through GetYourGuide.
Is going inside Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa worth it?
Definitely yes. These two are the iconic buildings in Dubai where everyone is taking pictures for their memories. However, if there is an option to go inside, it is a must-do while in Dubai. I went to the top of Burj Khalifa twice, during the day and in the evening, I also visited Armani Prive twice. I managed to go to Skyview bar in Burj Al Arab and I would do all of them again as these are exceptional experiences and memories. What is your opinion about them? Did you manage to visit inside? Let me know in the comments.
