How to enter Burj Al Arab
As mentioned before, Burj Al Arab is one of the most luxurious and iconic hotels in the world. It is standing on a man-made island connected by a bridge.
At the beginning of the bridge is a gate with security who will check your IDs and reservation. If you don’t have a reservation, security will not let you in. So what reservation you can have?
Booked hotel room
The first option is very expensive and not easy for everyone, which is to book a room in the hotel. As this hotel is named 7* hotel, where a lot of design is made of gold and marble, the prices are very high.
Their rooms start at 4,000 AED until 20,000 AED per night. Depends on the season and the type of room. Of course, not possible and affordable for everyone. But don’t despair. There are other cheaper options for how to get inside Burj Al Arab.

Reservation in one of the restaurants
The second option and more affordable is to book a table in one of their restaurants or a Skyview Bar. They have several options to choose from.
Sahn Eddar restaurant, atrium lounge located on the first floor. In this restaurant is possible to go with children. There are options for an A La Carte menu with a minimum spend of 200 AED, however, the better option is Afternoon Tea, which will cost you 590 AED with Champagne or 490 AED with a non-alcoholic drink.
Children from 4-11 years old pay 245 AED. The Afternoon tea has selections of different hot beverages, sandwiches, pastries, and scones. There are specific times you will need to book and be on time.
You can also go for lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants. This is a little bit more expensive option than the afternoon tea, but you can choose from several restaurants, where there is an A La Carte menu or a brunch, where you pay a fixed amount for an already chosen menu.
There is Al Iwan Arabic restaurant, where you can go for an Arabic Buffet lunch or dinner. Lunch costs about 400 AED and dinner about 900 AED.
Al Muntaha restaurant is located on the 27th floor with a beautiful view of the city serving French and Italian cuisine. The lunch menu costs 650 AED.
Other restaurants include Al Mahara seafood restaurant, which is beautiful and very romantic next to the giant aquarium. Bab Al Yam is a European restaurant and Sal is a beachside restaurant.

Skyview Bar is located on the 27th floor, 200 meters above sea level. You can book a table for evening cocktails here. This is the option we decided to go for. It was a present for my mum’s birthday and we all really enjoyed it.
We paid 350 AED per person where some drinks and snacks were included. The snack came on a tray shaped like the Burj Al Arab itself. If you want to have more drinks, you then pay extra. People under 21 are not permitted inside.
This way we managed to see Burj Al Arab from the inside, see the beautiful view of the city from the 27th floor and enjoy the special drinks of the hotel.
Other options to enter Burj Al Arab
More options to enter Burj Al Arab are booking a Spa treatment or a Guided tour. Going for a guided tour of the hotel is a bit strange for me, but maybe you will like this option. Guided tours start from 249 AED and can be also chosen with the dining package. You can check directly on their website.
Tips before you go inside Burj Al Arab
– Please be on time for your booking and not earlier than 15 minutes
– Have your booking reservation with you as you have to show it to security at the bridge
– Remember it is a 7* hotel, therefore the dress code is smart casual, or even elegant. No flip-flops, sneakers, shorts, sporty t-shirts with pictures, beach wear, or jeans.

Burj Khalifa at the top
The last option and probably the most popular is to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa from where you can see the whole of Dubai. There are two options.
The first option is floors 124 and 125. You will get to floor 124 by the lift in one minute where you then step out on the outside observation terrace. You can walk around and see Dubai from each side. There is no limited time to stay, but the booking is at a certain time.
Then you go to floor 125 where more experience is waiting for you, like virtual reality or immersive experience where you step on a glass that will start cracking under your feet and you explore heights from 456 meters in the air.
The second option is a personalized guided tour where you will step to the highest outdoor observation deck in the world, 555 meters, enjoy refreshments at the sky lounge, and continue to floors 125 and 124.
The entrance to the top of the Burj Khalifa is from the inside of the Dubai Mall. You can purchase your tickets there at the place, but it is better to book online and in advance.
