There are several adrenaline sports that you can do in Dubai. One of them is ziplining. Ziplining, really? Are there any Ziplines in Dubai? XLine Dubai Marina

XLine Dubai Marina is the longest urban zipline in the world, which means the zipline is built throughout a city. As the name says, it is located in Dubai Marina, one of the best areas in Dubai, close to the beach, restaurants, and cafes. The length of the zipline is 1 km.

Just imagine flying like a bird lying belly down from the highest launched point 170 m to the other side towards Marina Mall. Underneath you can see water, tall buildings, yachts parked in the Marina, and people like tiny small ants while you experience the thrilling flight up to 80 km per hour. There are two lines next to each other, so if you wish, you can experience the ride together with your friend or a family member. What is the best thing about it, is that their pro camera will document the whole ride. So you will receive a video and pictures from your flight, which are included in the price.

As you may know, Dubai is not cheap and as this is the longest urban zipline in the world, also the prices are a bit higher. For one person aged 17 to 65, you pay 650 AED. If you are two people, it will cost you 1200 AED. Children from 12 to 16 pay 499 AED.

What to expect

Once you book your ride, you must come at least 15 minutes before your ride time to the Marina Mall Level P which is the meeting point. Here they will check your ID and confirmation email, they will weigh you in order to choose the correct harness, helmet, and trolley for you. You will receive a safety briefing and you are ready to go. The whole experience with the briefing and preparation will take up to 90 minutes.

You will go to one of the Amwaj Towers from where you will fly over the Marina towards the Marina Mall. Your friends and families will watch you from the ground.

What do you need to know before you book?

  • You must be aged 12-65 years old. People under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. You must weigh between 45-100 kilos and your high must be a minimum of 130 cm
  • You must be in good medical condition
  • You shouldn’t have any injuries
  • Free from serious physical or mental disorders
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
  • You should wear comfortable clothes, no skirts, dresses, and flipflops
  • Not under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medicaments
  • Bring your picture ID and confirmation email as the name on the ID and email must match the rider’s name
  • It is prohibited to resell the ticket
  • Refund or rescheduling is possible more than 48 in advance
  • Small lockers for handbags, wallets, and mobile are available, however, there are no lockers for shopping bags or luggage
  • It is better to book in advance from their website as the zipline is very popular, and it is subject to availability

Opening times

Opening times are from Wednesday to Monday from 9:20 am to 11:20 am and then again from 3:20 pm to 6:20 pm. However, check their website and social media for any changes due to weather, season, or holidays.

 

Aventura Park

If you are not ready for the Dubai Marina Zipline yet, or you would like to do some practice first, you can try Aventura Park. Aventura Park is the largest zipline adventure park in Dubai. This park is located in Mushrif Park, where inside the forest you can have fun on different trails with your friends and families.

There are 24 ziplines, 80 obstacles, and 5 circuits which are all divided based on age, high, and difficulty level. You can spend 3 hours challenging yourself, having fun, and enjoying lovely coffee with a homemade snack.

Things to know

  • You will receive a safety briefing before you go
  • Arrive at least 20 minutes earlier
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes
  • To wear a harness you need to be 1.15 meters tall and to participate in the extreme circuit you must be 16 years old

Jebel Jais Zipline in RAK, UAE

Jebel Jais Zipline

Jebel Jais Zipline is actually not located in Dubai, but it is in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) north of Dubai. Jebel Jais is the tallest peak in the UAE with high 1934m and you will reach there in 2 hours from Dubai.

Jebel Jais Zipline is the longest Zipline in the world recognized by the Guinness World Records Book. So if the Dubai Marina Zipline seems to you too small for you, go ahead and try Jebel Jais Zipline which is 2.83 km long, 1,680 m high and the speed can be reached up to 160 km per hour. You will wear the Superman harness that will make you feel like a bird flying in the middle of the mountains. Would you be dear to try?

If you are courageous enough and you will try this zipline, you will receive official certification and footage from the experience.

  • You must be a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 120 kilos and 122 cm tall
  • You must be in good medical condition

  • Wear comfortable sporty clothes, trainers or closed shoes, and sunscreen
  • Bring your picture ID

Opening times and prices

The summer season from May 3rd till September 30th – 10:30 am till 5:00 pm

Winter season – 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
